Have you ever had a hard day?

So today was a hard day for me and I had such great expectations too! I was able to sleep in, which was much needed, by the way. It started out alright, but it got worse as the day went along. Alright so it wasn't that bad until late afternoon and then the boys became whinie. I became overwhelmed by their every whim and desire. We went to the beach because they have been asking and then it was windy and so you could hardly see and the sand was everywhere. So the water was full of big waves and I forgot our beach shoes which made me and James miserable because our feet hurt with all the rocks. Then we had to leave earlier then the boys wanted so we could get Will to gymnastics. Once we get to gymnastics Will refused to go in, he had a different teacher and so there for he didn't want to participate. He held on to me and cried. I had to call William, who told him if he didn't go in we weren't ever going back. This did the trick and he went in. At the end of class Will wanted a drink and a treat, but I didn't have any money so I explained that I didn't have any cash but that we would be getting dinner on our way home. This is where the big break down occured. He had a melt down, a huge melt down. He cried, screamed, kicked and clung. I walked out of the building with him clinging on to me which caused him to be dragged to the car with his legs wide spread. It was horribly embarrasing. I get a phone call from William on our way home in which he procedes to tell me that he is being called to retrain into a lateral career, k-9 or Cadum. He doesn't like either of these career fields. So then that has us stressing the boys are having fits in the car. We get home I take Sparky and Iron Man away from them and put them up high for a week. Then I now have to start making dinner because I wasn't going to treat them after being so horrible. It was a long day and then William kept calling me and telling me more things that we need to do. I still don't have any of the laundry folded and we found out that we are moving in September to a new house. And above all I just want to have another baby, but I can't handle the two I have now so what make me think I should have another!! That is my sad rant.

gum is the secret to success!

So for the last couple of days I have been hungry. I thought it would be easier after I had a stomach bug, but nope. I have been hungry. So today I ate my lunch and I still had a rumbly in my tumbly. Well I drank some water. Didn't fix it. Well, this went on until I had to go get Will from preschool. In my purse was some gum! I got a piece and started to chew it. It made a world of difference. Now I will start to chew gum in between meals! I wasn't even hungry after chewing the gum and it was time for my snack! It was a miracle! I am looking forward to getting skinny the gum way. I used to chew gum all the time and I stopped for some odd reason. I decided a while back to try chewing gum again, but I kept forgetting to buy it. Well, now I know that chewing sugarfree gum will be the key to my success. So bring on the gum and bring on the weightloss!

Nutrisystem

So today I had my first day on Nutrisystem. Unfortunately, it was also provider appreciation day. So not only was I starting a new diet, but I started it on a day when I was delivered a pizza and given cupcakes! So hard to resist, but resist I did. I was very proud of myself. I was also very pleasantly surprised when I ate the food. It actually tastes very good. The food is very moist and full of flavor. I enjoyed the opportunity to eat good food and not be hungry. You also eat a lot of veggies and fruit. I definitely feel that I get plenty of those. I am excited for this new adventure.

Rough week.

William had the first two days off this week and boy did we need him home. On Monday he took both boys to the doctor. The cough that Lil'Will has had for the last month was told to be allergies. Instead of his nose running it is draining down his throat causing him to cough. So he was put on Zyrtec and that nose stuff you sniff, a hard concept for a 4 year old. James, who I thought was suffering from allergies and a possible sinus infection, ended up having a really bad ear infection!! The doctor said he must of had it for about two weeks now! I was shocked and feel horrible. He didn't manifest any signs of discomfort besides being extra whinny, and I chucked that to him being 2 and wanting his independence. Needless to say he was put on an antibiotic and Zyrtec as well. Then on Tuesday Lil'Will was taken to the ER for busting his lip open in two spots as well as causing a major scratch in his gums. He was being silly in the backyard and was dancing on the patio and lost his balance. Apparently though where he fell was also a rocking chair and so they battled it out for the spot and the rocking chair won! My poor boy! He bled through two paper towels twice and a thing of gauze. The ER was great and saw us right away. The doc said that he will heal just fine by himself but to be careful of re-injuring it while it is healing. For the time being Lil'Will looks pretty beat up.

Last night I took the night off to study and do my module for this month. Every time I tried in the past month something would happen and I wouldn't be able to get past the first line. So I locked myself up at the library and then when they closed I sat in my car until I finished it. unfortunately for me when I arrived home I still had to clean the house. At 9:30 William was still putting the boys to bed so nothing had been done. We were able to finish by 11, but I had hoped to make it to bed by 10.

I hadn't made it to the gym on Tuesday and Wednesday in the morning so I really wanted to do that today. So I knew it was important to get some sleep. We all have been feeling a bit sick in the house this week. Hopefully it will all get better soon. So this morning I get up at 5 and I can't find the car keys I search my purse and the top of the fridge, not there!! So I go running around the neighborhood and come home and do 50 sit ups. I have learned that no matter what the fitness people say there is no substitute for an actual sit up. They can say a crunch will provide you with the same movement and that it is not necessary to go up all the way, but it is. There is a huge difference in how I feel after doing crunches and sit ups. Sit ups are tremendously harder and it is better for you.

Well lets hope today goes well. I need a day of James going pee in the toilet and a day of no accidents. I know I can do but can the kids? I sure hope so!

And we are off!

Thank goodness my husband has today and tomorrow off. Last night I made a deal with the devil and was allowed to go to bed while he cleaned the house! I am so thankful that he did that for me. I was able to be in bed by 9 pm which meant that I was able to get up at 5 to work out today. I really don't think I would have made it if he hadn't helped me out. Well, I am excited to get this week rolling. A very busy day of laundry and grocery shopping ahead, and of course watching those sweet babies! Time to get my groove on! LOL!!

Exhausted

So the experiment is on. I have gotten up two days in a row at 5 am. I am very proud of myself for being able to do it. Then on Friday night William and I were supposed to have a date night. We made it to dinner, but we couldn't handle doing a movie or anything else. So we ate dinner and came home! When did we get so lame that we can only be out till 9!! We got so tired we came home after an hour!! It makes me laugh. The worst part is that William and I were both so tired we were cranky with each other that it wasn't even a fun hour! Instead it was us both being snooty and mean. Then today I watch Azlin and helped the Kutz family pack up their stuff for when they move. William helped move boxes and mowed her lawn and then helped another woman move. He is now working on his school work. I feel bad because I know how tired he is and he is having to now do his school work. The Kutz's had some water outside and James and Azlin found it in a few minutes of us arriving. They had to borrow clothes from the Kutz. It was funny. I swear James started the day super cute and clean and by 10 am was a muddy boy!! We had a great time with the Kutz's the kids love to play with each other which makes it easier for us to pack their house. Afterwards the boys and I and Jessica went shopping where I got some new tennis shoes and then we ate dinner. It was a fun day had by all. Now it is time for me to rest my weary eyes and try to get some sleep before the next day starts. I am sad that I miss a whole hour of sleep tonight. I hate daylight savings!! Yuck!!

So the experiment begins

So finally last night I was able to go workout. I didn't do as much as I had planned but I still went and did it. Then this is the biggest shocker, wait for it, wait for it. . . I worked out this morning!! Yes I did! I got up at 5 this morning and made it to the gym. By the time I got there I was only able to do a half hour on the elliptical, but a half hour is better than none. On the way home I did stop for a coke, so I don't fall asleep while watching the babies. Then tonight I have zumba! I really love zumba and so it should be a fun night.

I have come to the conclussion that if I am going to work out twice a day I need to buy more socks and sports bras. Those are necessities that you just have to have enough of. I also realized that getting up at 5 isn't bad when you are sharing the bed with a bed hog. James slept with us last night. He woke up at 10 as we were heading to bed and stayed there all last night. James truly feels he needs the whole bed and nothing but the whole bed. The cutest part about it is that he was in nothing but a diaper. He is so cute when he is a naked baby. He was completely naked but I put a diaper on him when he wanted to get in our bed. Mommy doesn't allow peepee in her bed!

Yesterday we went to the springs preserve. It was an alright time, but the weather didn't cooperate with us. It rained when we finally found the outside playground. The springs preserve is a place that has preserved some of the natural habitat in down town Las Vegas. It is a place with hiking trails and also a learning center. It teaches the kids all about the history of Vegas and how to conserve water. It was a bit over our kids heads. They just wanted to play. They did have an outdoor playground that they kids played at but by the time we got there it started to rain. I felt bad because I had kept Azlin and Eddie in the stroller for most of the time since there were school kids all over the place. Every time I let Eddie out of the stroller he would run off. He doesn't listen well and since it was just me I didn't trust him after he ran off for the third time. But they loved the outdoor play area. It had a train and all sorts of animal sculptures. But do I think I'll go back, not so much. The kids are just not old enough to enjoy it and it costs to much to play at a mediocre play ground. They have just as much fun playing at the free playgrounds.
